This is basically a part two to my last blog post about the magazine comic. In this post, you can see there is a scan of the original copy of my magazine. The second image above is an edited version of the first that is just making the ink from the paper a deep black and also creating the paper background of the scan to make it a bright white. The last image or the third image to the right is the final colored version of the scan and the reason I chose so many colors is because I wanted the paper to really pop. None of the colors really have "deeper" meaning, they are just colors I chose to add. My inspiration for the color is from one of the artist shown in class, Jean-Michel Basquiat, his artwork has great use of bright colors and use of a lot of colors. The popping colors causes the magazine to have a completely different effect to it when the viewer is looking at it. For example, the eye on the page when it is painted red with the grey background, the eye has more of a deadly and kind of frightening look to it versus beforehand when it looked like the eye of a cat. My personal favorite piece of the magazine when color is added is the bottom right portion with the crazy colors and the perfectly straight lines in the foreground and background.
